What is my hair type? (POROSITY AND DENSITY)
POROSITY
Porosity is how well your hair is able to absorb moisture
. Knowing your hair porosity will help determine how much moisture your hair needs on the regular basis. And to also make better decisions on your hair products. There are three simple ways of testing for porosity, that is, float test, strand test and dry test. The float test gives a more defined result.

The Float Test
A simple test to know the porosity of your hair is to take a couple of strands of your hair from your brush or comb and drop into a bowl of water for 2-4 minutes. If your hair floats, you have low porosity. If it sinks you have high porosity. But if it sinks gradually you have moderate porosity.
